Apply Now An exciting opportunity has become available for a Regional Broking Manager to join our Erskine Murray, Speciality Team based in Leicester.

As a senior member of the Midlands Region, you will have responsibility for the implementation of the company’s insurance market placement strategy. You will lead the account handling team to ensure that we deliver an excellent service proposition to existing clients in addition to building positive and productive working relationships within the company, as well as with Insurers.

A key part of the role is to be the technical referral point for Account Handlers and Account Executives. You will also be responsible for setting the strategy for the remarketing of existing business as and when required using all routes to market including E-trade in line with the agreed placement strategy. Duties will include, but are not be limited to:

Broking and Placement Strategy

Responsible for the delivery, implementation, monitoring of placement strategy within the Midlands Region,
Develop, grow, and manage local key strategic partner insurer relationships,
Act as the technical referral point for Account Handlers & Account Executives and provide guidance when required,
Support to Account Handlers with placement advice and strategy on remarketed renewals,
New Business Placement,

Operational Management

Responsible for day to day delivery and monitoring of the operational function of new business and renewals within the Midlands Region,
Supervision of the quality and volume of work completed within the team,
Maintaining records and managing the diary system, ensuring that all post and diary activity is completed daily,
Reviewing and appraising team members and developing training and development plans appropriately,
Leading and managing change effectively,

You must have:

Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer interface/relationship skills - ability to establish rapport, credibility and trust with Account Execs, Account Handlers, Insurers, and other strategic partners,
Organisation and attention to detail, including ability to prioritise and manage time effectively,
Knowledge and experience of principal underwriting markets and any delegated authorities,
Competent with Microsoft Office and Acturis applications,
